Why Don't You Sing in the Chorus

Songs of Linda Allen

This songbook contains songs from my albums, “Mama Wanted to Be a Rainbow Dancer”, and “October Roses”, along with newer songs. The book was published in 1986 and represents over fifteen years of stories - stories of people I’ve known or imagined, stories of myself and my own journeys. Some of the songs are angry, some full of struggle. In sharing them with you here, I hope that what comes through is a sense of compassion for our own fragile humanity and a wonder in our ability to survive.
